Abbie and Betty
Abbie Cornish (born 7 August 1982) is an Australian actor from Australia. Cornish is known best for her films roles, including Heidi in Somersault (2004) Fanny Brawne in Bright Star (2009) Sweet Pea in Sucker Punch (2011) Lindy in Limitless (2011) Clara Murphy in RoboCop (2014) as Sarah in Geostorm (2017) and also for her role with director Martin McDonagh in Seven Psychopaths (2012) as well as the film Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017). Cornish got her debut Screen Actors Guild Award in the ensemble cast in the film. Betty Gilpin.........................American actress Betty Gilpin was fortunate to have both of her parents be professional actors. Jack Gilpin, who starred in Adventureland and The Mothman Prophecies among other films, was her father. Ann McDonough played the mother. The love and support of her parents made the decision to study acting a simple one for teenager Betty Gilpin. Fordham College was her first option when she was ready for her to start college. The college was where she learned to perfect her craft. Following graduation, Gilpin began performing in Off-Broadway shows while auditioning for television and film roles. After a brief guest appearance on NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent and a few other small role as a character in Ghost Town (2009) and The Northern Kingdom (2008). Gilpin landed mostly TV part-time roles in the following years, until her breakthrough came in 2013 when she was cast as the main character on Nurse Jackie. Gilpin portrayed the character Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin in 34 episodes until Nurse Jackie ended its run in the month of June in 2015. That same year Gilpin made an appearance in the thriller-mystery True Story (2015).
